1. Who operates HuntedJob
HuntedJob is operated by an independent individual based in Costa Rica. HuntedJob is not organized as a corporation, LLC, or other registered business entity. References to "HuntedJob," "we," "us," or "our" refer to that individual operator acting under the HuntedJob name. You can reach us at support@huntedjob.com.
2. The Service
HuntedJob is a software-as-a-service product that helps you evaluate job opportunities against your own experience and preferences. Depending on your plan, the Service may let you: build a candidate profile from a resume you provide; review job openings and AI-generated match, career-fit, and opportunity scores; generate tailored resumes, cover letters, and interview preparation material; and run scheduled, automated discovery of new openings. Available features vary by subscription plan and may change over time as the Service is developed.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@huntedjob.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. Authentication is handled by Auth0, a third-party identity provider; we do not store your password ourselves.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the resumes, career history, job preferences, and other material you upload or enter into the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant HuntedJob a limited license to store, process, and use it solely to operate and provide the Service to you — including generating AI outputs, matching you against job openings, and producing documents you request. You are responsible for making sure Your Content is accurate and that you have the right to share it with us.
5. AI-generated content
The Service uses artificial intelligence, including third-party AI providers, to generate match scores, summaries, tailored resumes, cover letters, interview preparation content, and similar output ("AI Output"). AI Output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific situation. Scores and rankings are illustrative estimates, not a guarantee of fit or an official assessment by any employer. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI Output — including tailored resumes and cover letters — before relying on it or sending it to a third party, such as a prospective employer.
6. No guarantee of employment outcomes
HuntedJob helps you organize and evaluate your job search. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in interviews, job offers, employment, or any particular career outcome. Decisions made by employers, recruiters, and other third parties are entirely outside our control.
7. Subscription plans and billing
HuntedJob offers a free plan and one or more paid subscription plans, billed on a recurring basis (for example, monthly or annually) at the price shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can request cancellation at any time by contacting support@huntedjob.com. Once self-service subscription management is available, HuntedJob may also provide cancellation options directly within your account. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically end access already paid for — see our Refund Policy for details.
Payments for HuntedJob are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record for HuntedJob transactions. Paddle handles payment processing, applicable taxes, billing-related customer service, cancellations, and eligible refunds in accordance with Paddle's buyer terms and applicable law. HuntedJob does not receive or store your full card or payment account details — that information is handled directly by Paddle.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or its underlying systems;
- Upload content that is unlawful, infringes another person's rights, or that you do not have permission to share;
- Use automated means to scrape, extract, or bulk-download data from the Service beyond your own account's ordinary use, or to circumvent usage limits of your plan;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; or
- Resell or provide the Service to third parties without our written permission.
9. Third-party services and job data
The Service integrates with and relies on third-party providers, including Auth0 (authentication), Paddle (payments), AI service providers (generating AI Output), and cloud infrastructure providers that host our servers and databases. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' own terms where you interact with them directly (for example, Paddle's checkout).
Job listings and related information shown in the Service are sourced from third-party job boards, employer postings, and similar sources. We do not control, verify, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or current availability of any third-party job listing. Always confirm details directly with the employer or listing source before acting on them.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, and branding (excluding Your Content and third-party material), is owned by HuntedJob or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal job search activities. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service itself except as the Service's own features (such as exporting a generated document) allow.
11. Service availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable at times for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We may add, change, or remove features of the Service, including features tied to a specific plan, at any time.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or for other reasonable operational or legal reasons, with notice where practical. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service and all AI Output are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI Output, job listings, or any other content in the Service is accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific circumstances.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HuntedJob will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, opportunities, or data, arising from or related to your use of the Service — including decisions made in reliance on AI Output or job listing information. Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any statutory consumer right, warranty, or protection that applies to you under the mandatory law of your country of residence and cannot lawfully be waived or limited by agreement — those rights remain available to you in full.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service or applicable law. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by generally applicable law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence that applies regardless of choice of law, which continues to apply where applicable.
